Downrigging has become one of the favorite methods for catching a walleye limit, with many of above average size. The weed beds in the bays and at the river mouths are where you will find northern pike, some running as much as 15 lbs. There are also perch, sturgeon, smallmouth bass, and even the mighty muskie can be caught in beautiful Lake of the Woods. We encourage catch and release to help ensure a larger trophy fish population, and to enjoy great fishing in Lake of the Woods for many years to come.

Hunters enjoy a wide variety of game in the area. Whether hunting upland birds, Roughed and Sharp Tail Grouse, big game with Deer, Bear and Moose we have it all!

Waterfowl hunting “although not north Dakota by any means” is not bad with little pressure on the resources. We have exclusive 9000’ feet of the best waterfowl hunting shoreline on the lake! Guided or non guided your waterfowl hunting experience will be easy and relaxed.

Our housekeeping cabins are clean, comfortable, and equipped with the modern conveniences for cooking your own meals, or storing snacks. If you want to relax even more, let us prepare a meal fit for a king in our dining room, or just snack on some delicious appetizers at the full-service bar in the lodge.

People from all over the U.S. and Canada come to River Bend Resort not only for great fishing, but also for their famous Saturday night "all you can eat" fish fry. With Pam's secret seasoning and the chef's expertise at the grill, it is a tastebud's delight. Enjoy all the walleye and fixins you can eat out at the picnic tables, or inside the rustic dining room overlooking the Rainy River.
